That is not from PNG’s Post Courier. Apart from anything else, most people here are rabidly pro-Trump. No-one in PNG media writes that well and no-one has a reporter in London. I have no idea where that was published but it was not here (in Papua New Guinea).
I’m not PNGian, but I live here. It’s a tribal culture of “strong” and unquestioned tribal leaders; also strong evangelical Christian church membership and some of the highest rates of violence against women in the world. I’ll let you do the maths. A lot of what he says appeals.
Hi Chakriya. I've been writing these spoof overseas correspondent articles for a few years. When I posted up the first one, about Remembrance Day in the UK, I realised as I tweeted it that I should probably name the paper I was pretending it was from; and for no other reason than that I like rugby league, I pulled a PNG publication out of thin air. And here we are.
Ahh… I was wondering how it got started! You were close, we have two papers and one is the Post Courier. But it was far, far too well written to have come from us (and there’s no such thing as a foreign correspondent, we’re lucky to have local ones). That said, we have some pretty amazing articles at times, you couldn’t invent them…. A favourite was the piece that, after the Australian Federal Police supported an initiative to combat family and sexual violence through improved services, blamed the dramatic rise in reporting on the obvious fact that the Australian Federal Police were the ones raping all the women.

Genius. Thank you. We are living this nightmare on Long Island. Keep writing and sharing.
Cheers Joan, on it
It is certainly time to stop the pussy footing and tell him, in an adult diplomatic manner, in small words he can understand, to go and fuck himself.
A plan we can all get behind!
I so loved this, posted it on Bluesky.
Cheers

Brilliant. Keep up the good work, mate. We Americans are resisting. ✊🏽

This was glorious & made me so very happy!
Lovely stuff, thanks for dropping by.
Smacking those who are still in denial into shape, excellent writing to snap the dangerous inaction out of the masses.
Aye. It does appear as if we need to be upping our game somewhat.

But you're not pro trump? Why are people there pro trump?

This is brilliant and accurate!
Diolch pal!
It seems that there are people on social media who believe that this actually came from a paper in Papua New Guinea!
Where did it come from?
It came from here.
Yes, that’s why I feel there should be an explanation since it is being shared elsewhere with less likelihood of readers understanding the source.
I have no fucks to give about the origination of this article, it is a spot on Bullseye. Must Read!!!
It came from here. Thanks for dropping by.
Bullseye !!!
Sublime. As always
Cheers Debbie!
Thank you for being so courageously direct, and funny.
